The free training week

When you sign up, we save your email address, your browser’s time zone, your chosen experience level, and the date and version of your signup consent. The experience level is optional; intermediate is the default if you don’t choose one. We use these details to send one welcome email and seven daily training emails. This does not subscribe you to an ongoing newsletter or a separate sales campaign.

Cloudflare stores these records for the site. Resend receives your email address and email content to keep the contact list and deliver your week. We record scheduling, delivery, bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe events so we can deal with delivery problems. To limit repeated signup attempts we store a one-way hash of your connection address combined with a secret and the current hour, never the address itself, and that record expires at the end of the hour.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link signed for your record alone, so no one can unsubscribe you by guessing an address. Unsubscribing stops the remaining scheduled emails; it does not erase the consent and suppression records used to keep you unsubscribed. Changing your level uses a one-time token your browser creates at signup, and we store only a hash of that token.

Delivery timing is based on the time zone recorded at signup, not your location if you travel afterward. We do not currently erase records automatically. Contact us with access or deletion requests.

Pre-order payments

The pre-order for The Switch, the twelve-week plan, is handled by Stripe. Checkout happens on Stripe’s own pages, so card details are entered there and never reach this site. Stripe holds the payment record, and the email address you give at checkout is the one Stripe uses for the receipt and for reaching you about the order.

Site infrastructure

OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare host the published website. Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Loading these resources can share ordinary connection data, including an IP address, with those providers.

The site does not run the earlier first-party event collector, marketing pixels, or session replay. Email open and click tracking are not part of this training week. Ordinary hosting access logs may still be processed by the hosting providers.

Earlier guide records

This rebuild does not delete records associated with an earlier guide or email request. Those records are separate from the current training week and the pre-order for The Switch.
